About the workshop

"BRUS" is a made-up name of a demonstration atelier. This is what a workshop making furniture to the customer's dimensions might look like.

Approach

We start with the room, not the catalogue.

Measuring, planning and a conversation about how you use the space are the first steps. Only then comes the design, and from it a piece that fits the room without adjustment.

We do not assemble furniture from standard modules. Dimensions, shelf heights and the placement of fittings are determined by your situation: the people, things and habits.

Materials

Oak

Warm, dense and durable. Holds oil and matt lacquer well. We use it in solid wood and veneer.

Walnut

Darker, with a calm grain. Combines beautifully with graphite surfaces.

Ash

Lighter, with a pronounced texture. Suitable for furniture used every day.

Graphite surfaces

Matt fronts and carcasses that give furniture a contrast with wood and hold the shape of the interior.

Production

One piece — one project. Before making, we agree the drawings and materials so that you can see the result before work begins.

Fittings that work unnoticed. Concealed hinges, soft-close dampers and full-extension drawers we consider basic quality, not an option.

Honest timelines. We give exact dates after measuring and approving the design, when it is clear how much work lies ahead.
